Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) is an annual global event organized by Youth Service America, as well as a consortium of 25 International Organizations and 95 National Coordinating Committees that Celebrates, Recognizes, and Mobilizes the year-round contributions of young people to build their communities and their world through voluntary service, and the contributions made by the community (public, private, and nonprofit sectors) for empowering young people, especially through mentoring.

Stand For Children Day began on June 1, 1996, when over 300,000 people attended the largest demonstration for children in United States history at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. Every year since 1996, on and around June 1, local communities in every state have celebrated Stand For Children Day. Stand For Children Day continues to grow because of the dedication and passion of volunteers who use the day to celebrate and create change for children in their community.

Walk for Hope is a family-oriented, non-competitive fitness and leisure walk to support breast cancer research at City of Hope National Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute, a National Cancer Institute Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
