- The National Marrow Donor Program
The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) is a non-profit organization that facilitates bone marrow, blood stem cell and umbilical cord blood transplants for patients around the world with life-threatening blood disorders, such as leukemia and aplastic anemia, and certain immune system and genetic disorders, who do not have matching donors in their families. The NMDP conducts clinical research projects intended to advance the understanding of allogeneic unrelated hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
